What is Access Bars®?
Access Bars® was developed by Gary Douglas in the early 1990s and later co-created with Dr. Dain Heer, forming part of a system called Access Consciousness®. It involves gently touching 32 points on the head, each linked to different aspects of life such as healing, control, creativity, joy, peace and so on. The idea is that these points store the electromagnetic charge of our thoughts and emotions, and by releasing them, the mind can become clear and the body more relaxed.
Over time, Access Bars® has grown from a little-known energy modality into a global practice now taught and shared in more than 170 countries.
The Science Behind
Scientific research has started to validate what many people experience during a session. In a study using brainwave scans (qEEG), neuroscientist Dr. Jeffrey Fannin and researcher Dr. Terrie Hope observed that one Bars session shifted participants’ brainwaves from stressed beta states into relaxed theta and delta states — similar to those seen in deep meditation.
Another study published in the Journal of Energy Psychology: Theory, Research, and Treatment (2017) found that a single 90-minute Bars session reduced anxiety and depression by more than 80% based on standardized scales. Participants reported feeling calmer, clearer, and lighter — both mentally and emotionally.
Access Bars® might appear simple, but it offers something powerful: a way to quiet the mind, relax the body, and allow life to flow again. For me, it became a turning point — not because it erased my pain, but because it gave me peace through it.
Fun Fact
A fun fact about Access Bars®: one session can be like having several hours of deep meditation, but without the effort — you simply lie down, relax, and receive.

All of Life comes to me with Ease, Joy and Glory®
